TYPES OF MINI-NOISE
SEMI-CONDUCTIVE TREATMENTS
-
x1 - A silvery colored
dispersion which permeates the shield braid in the area between
dielectric and outer jacket. Found only on polyethylene and
other low-temperature dielectric cables.
-
x2 - A black conductive film
coating fused on the wall of the dielectric. (PTFE base)
NOTE: x2 treatments are used primarily on high
temperature cables.
